Terms & Conditions
General website, booking and rental terms.
Rental Terms version: V60.0.0
1. Agreement hierarchy
Mandatory UAE law and applicable regulatory requirements prevail. Where applicable, the RTA/TARS unified rental contract and mandatory RTA requirements prevail over conflicting internal policies. The signed vehicle-specific Rental Agreement prevails over general website information.
2. Eligibility
The standard minimum renter age is 18 years. The driving licence must have been held for at least one year at rental start and remain valid through the rental. Higher vehicle/category requirements may apply.
3. Documents and verification
AL WOJHA may verify identity, driving eligibility and required documents before handover. Required documents depend on nationality, residency, licence type, vehicle category and applicable law.
4. Authorized drivers
Only the renter and approved additional drivers recorded in the Rental Agreement may drive. Unauthorized driving may affect insurance/SCDW coverage and liability according to the applicable agreement and law.
5. Vehicle condition
The renter must inspect the vehicle at handover. Condition, mileage, fuel, accessories and images may be recorded. The renter must return the vehicle, keys, documents and accessories in the recorded condition, ordinary wear excepted.
6. Rental period and return
Daily rental is based on 24-hour periods from the recorded handover time unless the Agreement states otherwise. Monthly rental is based on 30 days unless stated otherwise. Extensions require approval and availability. Late return charges are governed by the disclosed Fee Schedule.
7. Geographic and prohibited use
UAE-only use applies by default. Cross-border use requires prior written approval and applicable documents/coverage. Racing, drifting, off-road/desert use, towing, sub-rental, illegal activity, dangerous-goods use and driving under the influence are prohibited unless expressly approved and lawfully permitted.
8. Accidents, theft and damage
Material incidents must be reported immediately and the required official report obtained. The renter must follow AL WOJHA's Emergency Policy and applicable authority procedures. Delayed reporting can increase liability where legally recoverable and causally connected.
9. SCDW and insurance
SCDW is a contractual reduction/waiver of qualifying vehicle liability. It does not replace mandatory motor insurance and is subject to the price, deductible and exclusions shown in the Rental Agreement. Exclusions may include prohibited use, unauthorized drivers, DUI, failure to report, gross negligence and specified items such as tyres, wheels, glass or accessories.
10. Tolls, fines and charges
The renter is responsible for actual authority tolls, parking and fines attributable to the rental, together with only disclosed AL WOJHA administration/service fees. Toll charges are based on the actual applicable authority charge. No undisclosed fee will be imposed.
11. Fuel, mileage and servicing
Fuel should be returned at the same level recorded at handover. Default included mileage is 250 km/day and 5,000 km/month; default excess mileage is AED 0.50/km unless the booking states otherwise. Servicing and warning-light requirements must be followed promptly.
12. Deposit and settlement
The security deposit/pre-authorisation is vehicle-specific and management-configured. The exact amount is shown in the Rental Agreement. Release/reconciliation targets are handled according to the applicable policy and may account for legitimately pending authority or third-party charges.
13. Cancellation and early return
Cancellation, modification, refund and early-return rules are governed by the separate Cancellation, Refund & Modification Policy. Monthly early return is recalculated to the applicable daily rate and shown to the customer before acceptance.
14. Electronic records and notices
Electronic records, confirmations, signatures, OTP records and notices may be used where legally permitted. Each reservation/contract records the applicable policy versions accepted at the time.
15. No waiver of mandatory rights
Nothing in these Terms waives mandatory consumer rights, a customer's lawful right to complain, or statutory remedies. Any provision that cannot lawfully be enforced is applied only to the maximum extent permitted by law.
16. Changes
AL WOJHA may update policies prospectively. Confirmed reservations and executed contracts retain their agreed commercial terms except where a change is required by law/regulation or mutually agreed.
17. Severability and governing law
If any provision is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted. These Terms are subject to applicable UAE and, where relevant, Dubai laws and mandatory jurisdictional rules.
